When you use your air conditioner, it is normal for some condensation to form. This water drips into a pan and down a drain leading away from your home. If water is dripping or leaking out of the machine rather than down the pipe, you may be experiencing a clogged, overflowing drain. Alternatively, your system may be working overtime to keep the room cool. This struggle to keep up with the continuous flow of warm air will overheat the machine and cause condensation to form on the outside
- Change the settings on your controller to the lowest temperature possible (16°C-18°C)
- Set to HIGH fan (not auto)
- Close all windows and doors and leave the system running for 10 minutes
Alternatively, if experiencing a clogged drain, your unit is in desperate need of a service. We recommend servicing your air conditioning system annually, or every 6 months if used regularly.
